US–VN Bridge

Project

US–VN Bridge Project

A joint project with ESUTECH that connects manufacturing in the United States and Vietnam. MES acts as the bridge, building a structure that links design, manufacturing-specification decisions, and actual production end to end.

Why MES

Why MES can serve as the bridge

Knows ESUTECH

As former ESUTECH C.O.O.

MES's founder, Masuda, served as C.O.O. of ESUTECH for three years and knows its engineering capabilities intimately, from the inside.
Trusted from the US

As a former Honda Europe lead and engineer

With a career as an engineer who worked on automotive design at Honda R&D and served as Vice President of its European research arm, he earns strong trust from US companies as an intermediary.

Why Now

Why this alignment works now

Vietnam

Vietnam as a growth market

Vietnam is a promising growth market where labor costs are still low—GDP per capita is around US$5,000. A young, internationally experienced generation of engineers is coming of age.
USA

America losing its manufacturing capacity

The US has begun to distance itself from China, but it has already drifted away from the manufacturing floor; even when it pulls production out of China, it lacks sufficient domestic capacity to make things. It also depends heavily on China for design, and labor costs make domestic work difficult.

Between an America that wants to build but cannot, and a Vietnam that has the power to build, lies a business opportunity.

Step 1

MES bridges

MES receives the needs of the US company and provides the overall coordination that connects them with the Vietnamese side.

Step 2

ESUTECH designs

A young, internationally experienced team of engineers handles everything from design to manufacturing-specification decisions.

Step 3

A Vietnamese factory produces

On-site manufacturing is entrusted to a proven Vietnamese factory.

ESUTECH Capability

What ESUTECH provides

Team

Team composition

A team of around 10 engineers (5–7 of whom are English-capable). There is still spare capacity, and headcount can be scaled up to meet demand.
Domains

Areas covered

Centered on automotive work (brakes, body, full-vehicle coordination, plastic-part design), plus standard tasks such as 2D/3D CAD conversion, drafting, and mold/press design, and in-house development of healthcare, wellness, and mobility products.
Track record

Track record

A record of automotive component design for Japanese customers and work for Tier 1 suppliers, with experience on projects ranging from several hundred to over 1,000 hours.
Terms

Contract & approach

Billed monthly on an hourly-rate basis, with no upfront payment. It is possible to start from a small trial, and there is also a sales point of contact in Tokyo.

Opportunity

Anticipated fields

Including fields that demand precision and regulatory compliance, such as medical devices, we envision serving as a home for the design and manufacturing functions that had depended on China. ESUTECH handles everything from design to proposing production methods, building a style in which only on-site manufacturing is entrusted to other Vietnamese companies.
